Because My Wife Is EVIL

So, yesterday, I share something with my wife and I assume it may be one of those rare times where it’s something just between the two of us.  Then I see this on her Facebook page:

Last night wasn’t too bad….After refusing to share the story with anyone, I decided why not and told a few people.  I wake up this morning with UMPteen emails asking me to tell them this story.
Well, cuz my wife is EVIL and I have no shame, here goes nuthin:
Here’s a pic from our apartment to the van….just so you can get a picture in your mind as to the distance…..
Yesterday, I take the kids to school, as usual, and it’s cool outside, but not too bad.  I come home and get into a cleaning frenzy and work up a sweat (that’ll make sense here in a sec).  The day goes by normally.  Around 1:30pm, I’m getting Elijah ready to go pick up the kids from school.  I put on my shoes and my coat, put Eli in his car seat and head out to the van.  When I get to the van I thought to myself, “wow, it’s a lot colder than it was this morning.”  I open the van door, put Eli in, look down and notice……
I’M NOT WEARING ANY PANTS!
It was hot, I was in my own house and decided to clean in my undies……although I didn’t plan on leaving the house like that.  I jumped in the van and closed the door.  I had thoughts of calling Ria to come get me some pants cuz I wasn’t running back across the street and upstairs in my underwear.  I sat there for a few minutes and decided to make a run for it.  Yes, horrible parent that I am….I left Eli in the van and ran faster than this fat man has ever run, got my pants and ran back down.  Almost late picking Chaya up.
Ria thought that was funny…..At the time…I…..did……not.
Pretty funny now though:D.
Ever forgot to put your pants on and left the house?

    Otay, so now I would have LOVED to have a candid camera for all of that…not that I want to see you in your undies BUT that would have been FUNNY!! Isn't that one of those "dreams" we have and we all wake up screaming from!!

      Yes, and now will be a reoccurring dream! The funny part was me diving into the van as I heard a car coming. So glad there were no cameras around and most people were at work :D .

    That is funny Toby and couldn't happen to a nicer guy. :) I have not forgotten to put my pants on but I have preached with my zipper down. at the current place where I am not on stage but right next to people and have a sign person right next to me and my wife to my left doing Power Point. fortunately, either no one had the "kindness" to say anything or because I wear khakis with pleats or jeans that are loose fitting no one noticed. I reckon I can hope for the latter.

    You could have pulled the van to a closer space in the parking lot before the run for the pants.

      That was definitely a thought, but then I remembered that with one of my kids I have to go INTO the school to get her. I'm not sure her teacher and the other parents would have approved :D

    I have a similar story, not that I forgot anything. But I had a peeping Granny when we lived in Hutschenhausen. I can feel for ya. Nothing like realizing people are looking at ya, and you have nothing on but your skivies….Just to let you know I am here for ya man….
