Life Change Week 2

No video this week cuz, well….Ok I don’t have a good reason, but I do have a pic:

Last week I weighed in at 261.2.

That’s a LOSS of .8 of a pound and a total loss of 10.4 pounds. Hey, a loss is a loss and nearly one more pound I don’ have to worry about:-).

Still drinking LOTS of water, but it’s grocery time, which for me means, all of the “good for you food” is gone and I need to get to the store:D.  I had pasta a few times this week and that’s no good.

I still managed to avoid fast food this week and had ZERO trips to Burger King.  Ria and I had a Doner last night for cheat night and I firmly believe those things are WAY too good to be bad for ya!

Gonna try to get Ria in on this and share weigh-ins next week.

In other areas of LifeChange, I feel a little better and have been more positive lately.  That’s all due to the grace of God.  I haven’t missed a day of Bible reading since we started this deal and that’s a change for me too.  I can act like the weight loss is the center of this LifeChange, but I hope we all know the goal is to be closer to the Lord and with that, everything else will fall into place.

I’m using YouVersion’s Life Journal Reading Plan.

What are you using?

Share you weigh-ins, links, reading plans, etc. in the comment section.

Good Job, Toby! Here is my progress or lack there of as of Wednesday: http://bit.ly/bKcsFB

    Keep up the great work!

As far as reading my bible, we get a hand out every Sunday that follows our Sunday School lesson with verses for every day of the week. I like it because it is tied to the lesson. My skull is kind of thick, so I need it to be repeated several times for it to sink in.

I hear ya on the thick-headedness….I'm right with ya. I'm trying to create a habit, "needing" to be in the Word. We all "need" to, but convincing yourself is sometimes difficult. Love all of these tools available via the internet to do that.

Good luck with that exercise! The wife is joining in this week….it's much easier for me when I have a partner.

Thought I'd throw in my sister's progress as I'm pretty sure she has yet to master commenting on this blog :-) .

She has remained even since the beginning of LifeChange, but has lost a total of 19 pounds since she started! WAY TO GO SIS!

My nephew, Caleb, is also in on the action, but I'm pretty sure he can figure out this commenting this on his own :-) .

    Congrats!

And YouVersion rocks. We're doing the Chronological plan in our LifeGroup Online.

I am not part of your group Toby but you gotta know that I am praying for you every day. I am doing it while riding the recumbent stationary bike at the Y (since that is all I am allowed to do at this time). Way to go!

Yeah, so many plans there. Makes it tough for one to make excuses about not reading :-) .

You ARE part of the group Bill as you motivate me daily. Praying for you, your family and recovery daily as well! Thanks Bill!

Thanks Brad! And thanks for the protein recipe! That was kinda tasty! I wanted 2 more, but I'm thinking too much of a good thing is probably not so good.
Like I said, ideally, folks will travel to your blog to offer support….doesn't always happen that way, but I'm with ya brother!
