Twitter Dilemma

by Pastor T on Jan 7th in Our Life

Ok, so I’m not sure it’s actually a dilemma, but I’m having thoughts of getting back into the Twitter action.

About a month ago I was emailing back and forth with a friend who had also left Twitter, but went back.  He said he missed some people…..my response was “I wish I felt the same.”  Well, that was a bit harsh and not entirely true.  Since this post, I’m not sure my life has changed much.  I mean, I’m not on the computer nearly as much anyway, but that has more to do with taking care of a baby then it has to do with anything else.  I’m always attached to my phone which is where I would do most of my tweeting anyway.  But what I have noticed is that there are lots of people who I used to have daily conversations with via Twitter that I haven’t spoken to since that post.

Yeah, I still have some issues with the fakeness and self-promotion that comes with Twitter, but it is what ya make it I guess.  There are pros and cons to most everything and if I could sit here and tell ya I have tons more time now than I did then, this post wouldn’t be going up……BUT, that’s not the case.

One big pro is that when I deleted my account, it gave me a prompt 3 times to be sure I wanted to delete because “accounts CANNOT be recovered”.  Well, that’s either a lie or a ploy to prevent peeps from deleting cuz I have reactivated my account…..same name…..same followers…..same everything.

Haven’t had time to check in with folks yet, but if ya knew me there, hit me up.  Chances are, I’ve missed ya :-) .  I type that assuming those who annoyed me aren’t reading this blog :D .

Tweet ya later!….oh yeah, in case you forgot, you can find me @Pastor_T <—There.

I've missed you, too. And I enjoy tweeting with the other 2 who have already commented! So we have a great little core group! I tend to look at what you're doing when you tweet first. I fell off a lot when I had no internet for 7 weeks & depended on my phone & the occasional Starbucks run for free wifi. 45 minutes away. Trying to get back into the swing. Stay with me.

I'm glad you're back, too. I still remember the day you posted about your sweet daughter and her accident. I remember reading the frantic post, and just stopping whatever I was doing, and praying. After that, I kept up with her healing process, and now I wanted to ask, how is she doing?

Hope all is well and that you had a great Christmas.

Thanks for coming by Leann!! Chaya is doing great. She started preschool a few weeks late, but about 3 weeks after she started school, she had another CT scan and was cleared to resume normal activities. God is good!
Hope all is well with you also!!
    Thanks again!

Like Andy, I'm glad you're back to. As much as I'm with you about the annoying people and all the shallowness and what not, there are people that I just don't interact much outside of twitter if at all. Going back, I knew that the people I cared about were more important than the annoying people that generally piss me off. It's been good to be back and I'm glad you're back too!

When your tweet come up I was surprised-and delighted! We all know twitter can become fake-but then again so can any part of our life. How we reflect who the Lord is in our lives and who we are in anything we do is up to us, twitter or not. Welcome back, and yes we did notice you were gone.

I hear ya Brad! It was on your blog that I made the statement I referred to in the post. I started thinking about how UN-Christian that statement was soon as I clicked submit. I don't HAVE to follow those who annoy me :D .
    Thanks man!

You're absolutely right Kelly. Kinda similar to different denominations……may be going about their business differently, but if they're leading the lost to the Lord, who are we to judge?! Great point….thanks for stopping by!
