As 2010 roles in, my initial thought was “what will I resolve to do this year?” Maybe you make resolutions and maybe you stick to them, but I can’t share in that excitement. I make them every year and break them every year. That said, I’ve made my last resolution……I resolve to NOT give this one day so much honor. There’s so much BLAH loaded into this day and even more so in 12/25….ya know, with the 12 days of Christmas, blah, blah, blah. As the title states, 12 DAYS MY BUTT. Today I’m starting the 365 days of Christmas. Doing my part in living a Christ-like life…..not 1, not 12, but the whole dang year.
Just like resolutions, I will fail, but I also won’t have the pressure of cramming all of my niceness into 12 days. I will fail, I will succeed, I will share and hopefully you will read….Wow, maybe I should become a poet?? No, that’s a resolution just waiting to be broken.
