Christmas in August

The whole family

The whole family

Kinda inconsistent with the blog lately with Mom visiting, but got some AWESOME news today…..

We will have 10 people in this house for Christmas this year as my Dad and fam AND sister and fam booked flights today!

Last year was kind of a somber holiday season with my Grandma passing away on Thanksgiving.  My Mom and sister were here and Mom was supposed to stay for Christmas, but we all returned to the states early for Grandma’s funeral.  We did our best to celebrate the birth of Christ as we always do, but family always makes the season brighter.

And this year God is shining His light on us!

Christmas is always my favorite time of year, but this year will be extra special!

Can’t wait!

We rarely get to spend any holidays with family. Since my step-dad has passed away my Mom's been coming out the last couple of years for Christmas.
Wow, my brother-in-law passed away on Thanksgiving too.

If your mom will be making cheesy taters then I'm booking a flight too!

Sadly, Mom is about the only one not being able to make the trip. Two overseas trips in 6 months can be quite pricey. We're trying to work it out, but it's not looking good.

There's always room on my prayer list for a lady who knows how to combine cheese and bacon…and speaking of food, your crops are in…

Yep…looks like Satan is going for my jugular this morning. He knows how it would crush me to lose that much watermelon. (I have issues with it being seasonal, see?) But I did have 5 slices last night with my neighbours so thankfully the season ain't over yet! (:^D)
