For those of you who know me, you know my top 2 passions:  God and the Steelers!! I am floored today to be able to share with you a combination of both.  At first this may seem like a football video, but it is much, much more.  This is the testimony of Steelers Defensive End Aaron Smith.  Watch the video to hear his awesome testimony, but there is another story to Aaron Smith that isn’t mentioned in his video.  Aaron has a son with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  CLICK HERE to read the story.  The following is an excerpt from that article :

“Daddy, make them stop! It hurts so bad! Please make them stop! Don’t let them do that to me …”

“They tell me he’s so young that he won’t remember any of it,” Smith said the other day at Steelers headquarters. “But his mom and dad will remember it the rest of their lives.”

I cannot fathom the idea…On to his video….

I don’t know about you, but I sometimes try to justify my “over the top” fanhood by searching for something Godly about the particular organization.  With players like Aaron Smith and Troy Polamalu on the Steelers, today I feel justified:-).

Am I alone in these thoughts?

Baby Name Update:

The current leaders:  Boys-Elijah in the lead with Benjamin a close second.  Girls-Lailah with a pretty good lead with Bailey and Leah tied for second.  More to come on that……

Had some time so I went back and listened and read the Gazette article. Great stuff! Agreed on the Steeler fans. I live in Colts country.

I know that feeling as I'm from Terre Haute. I'm pretty sure I've been to Spencer.
