Name Our Baby Please

For those of you who don’t know, Ria is pregnant.  That’s all we know at this point.  She has her first doctor’s appointment on the 18th, I think.  Wow, I feel horrible not knowing for sure..LOL  Anyway, we’ll get the details later, but WE WANT YOU TO NAME HIM or HER.

Ria actually had this idea:  This is technically “OUR” blog, but as most of you know, Ria isn’t into blogging much.  So, she came up with this:  I have some boy and girl names I like….She has some that she likes.  I’m going to list 5 boy and 5 girl names in this post and I’ll share it with my Facebook and Yahoo peeps too.  Ria will do the same with her Facebook and MySpace peeps.  If you get this from both of us, that’s ok becuase our lists are not the same.  Just pick your favorite names from each of us.

She will do things her way with her folks, but if you’ve received this from me, here’s the deal:  Please pick ONE BOY name and ONE GIRL name from the lists and leave it as a comment. Now, that is always a problem on this ole blog for some reason.  Every time I ask for a comment, I get 30 emails and 2 comments…LOL  So, if you’re reading this from Facebook or another site or email, come HERE and leave your picks as a comment.  Everyone is welcome, so if you’ve stumbled upon this blog for whatever reason, #1 WELCOME, #2 leave your picks :-P .  At some point we’ll figure out the sex of the baby and we’ll do this again.

Now then, for you newbies, we have 2 kids and their names may matter to some of you as part of your decision making (we’re only doing first names here, btw).  They are Gabriel and Chaya (KY-UH).  Here we go….Oh and for those of you who RARELY EVER comment, make an exception here, will ya?

MY BOY NAMES: In no particular order.  And before you ask, yes, I know what each of these names mean :-) .  Is it obvious that I’m taking a course on the Book of Genesis right now? :-)

    Uhhh, well what can I say. Ria loved em all Scot! Must be the hormones. I must say, I was rather impressed with SHAWN when he twittered my last name CORRECTLY. Maybe next time you'll consult a professional name picker before commenting :-) . I'm still kinda stuck on Cletus Shawn Keathley.

    Don't ever put my down by elevating Shawn. I shall now come to Germany and give you a boot to the head.
    Now being corrected on the spelling of your last name, I offer the following for consideration:

    1. Regis Keathley
    2. Chris Kringle Keathly. Say it 5 times fast. I thought so.
    3. The Edge Keathley
    4. Yukon Chang Keethly
    5. Lee Keathley. "Leak" for short. When you pick him up you can say "I have to take a leak."

    And my personal favorite:

    By the way, even when corrected, you spelled the dang thing wrong. I can't imagine Jack doing that. Is that why he got the Santa role?
    And let me correct you on #6. It's "my-Dad-is-so-desperate-for-a-comment-he-emailed-100-people-to-give-me-a-name." That's a father's love brother!
    One last thing: When you make that trip to Germany, be sure to ask me to hook you up with a place to stay. A few "nice" places have sprung to mind lately.

    Thanks man!! I know how ya feel…never a good idea to say congrats on the baby if "you're not sure" LOL That could turn out bad :-) . She could be 6 days pregnant or 2 months…We have no idea…We find out next week…You know military doctors…no rush to see ya :-) .

    Although, I don't think it's fair that Ria's names aren't listed here because I might like hers better. Oh well.

    Fine. I'll play along with the "only one baby" theory for now, but a quick google search will reveal just how many "hidden" gems have entered in the world relatively (pardon the pun) unannounced. Considering Ria's military background, we should refer to them as "stealth babies", don'tcha think?

    She keeps having pains that she didn't have with the first 2 and I keep tellin her it's the second baby in there, trying to hide. She doesn't seem to like it when I say that though :-)
