Tough To Be Thankful

Most of the readers here know what is going on, so I won’t restate the details.  If you don’t know, ask and I will fill ya in when I get a spare minute or two.

This is my Grandma.  In this picture she is in a hospital in Indianapolis, talking to me, my Mom and my sister in Germany.  Please join us in prayer that we will get home in time to speak to her again.  Her name is Vera.

We can be sad that a loved one is sick and that is ok.  But I would like to focus on the numerous times I have loved and laughed with my Grandma.  I’m sure I will share those memories at some point.  For now:

Thank you God for allowing us to speak with her.  Thank you Lord, for allowing my Mom and sister to travel to Germany to spend some time with us.  Although sadness sometimes overwhelms us when tragedy strikes, we must be aware of the wonder and beauty that is to come for Grandma.  She is in Your hands and I thank You for the many years You have left her here to be with us.  In Jesus precious name, Amen!

Praying for you and your family, it is hard PERIOD when tragedy strikes but I believe even more so during the holiday season. God is forever faithful and we may not understand but He always has a purpose. I love that you are focusing on the THANKFULNESS even in the hard times. God is def. w/you and I know out of all this there will be many blessings for your faith and focus in Him.
