Last week I was taping the kids on the slip n slide and it turned into, what seemed like, a tibute to Zeke, our dog. Yesterday Zeke left us to go with his new owners. Although I knew he would, more than likely, sell to the first person who came to see him, it was still tough. I tried to do the transfer outside so Gabriel wouldn’t have to see it, but when I came back inside, I learned that he had been watching out the window the entire time. I feel like the worst father in the world right now, but also know that Zeke is in a much better place where he can be outside and run like German Shepherds should be.
Anyway, I couldn’t end it without an tribute that was meant to be one. Get out your tissues….if you’ve ever lost a pet, you know what I’m talkin about.
